Boadas started in the ham production business in 1880, in Girona. Five generations later and they are still a fmaily business but they produce ham in the same traditional ways and have expanded across Spain to source the best pigs, land and fodder for their produce. Serrano ham is what they are best known for, though they also make Iberian hams and cured meats. 

Most of their serrnao hams are produced in Salamanca, a famour region for pig farming in Spain.
